About 50 kilometres from the city of Malaga is a small treasure of the province of Malaga, the town of\u00a0Carratraca<\/strong>.\u00a0With narrow streets and white houses, this town has many attractions that invite you to a unique and unforgeable visit\u00a0 to discover the magic of the Andalusian mountain towns. Carratraca\u00a0<\/strong>is one of those towns with walls decorated with flower pots providing a colourful aspect and the warm glow of Andalusian houses. When walking through its old cobblestone streets, visitors can discover several tourist attraction jewel such as\u00a0the Carratraca sparesort<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>, one of the most attractive places in this town of Sierra Blanquilla. These thermal baths have been famous since Roman and Arab times, and in the nineteenth century they became very popular attracting visitors such as Lord Byron and the Empress Maria Eugenia. This town is also famous for its\u00a0traditional Andalusian gastronomy<\/strong>, with typical dishes such as\u00a0 callos, cabbage, rabbit stew, stewed\u00a0 potatoes and desserts such as olive oil pies, the lemon biscuits or cake. In the culinary section visitors can visit\u00a0Casa Pepa<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0a restaurant over half a century old that has attracted many famous people such as Antonio Banderas, Jesus Quintero, Antonio Gala, Carlos Argui\u00f1ano or\u00a0Prince Charles of England. Its traditional recipes include\u00a0 stewed potatoes, lean meat with tomato sauce, the lamb and gazpachuelo. There are also other cosy places to taste the typical dishes of the area such as\u00a0El Punto\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0La Venta del Trillo.\u00a0<\/strong>And to have a coffee, tea, cocktail, ice cream, cup, a sweet picoteo, you cannot miss\u00a0La Bocacha<\/strong><\/a>, managed by Pepa’s grand-daughters.
